Get started with Google Pay

Google Pay is just minutes away. You can get started through Nordea Mobile, Nordea Wallet or Google Pay in all Android devices running Android Lollipop 5.0 or newer. To make in-store payments, your phone also needs to support NFC (Near Field Communication).

Through Nordea Mobile

  1. Go to the Google Play store to make sure you have the latest version of Nordea Mobile and open the app.
  2. On the app’s front page, select the card you want to add to Google Pay.
  3. Tap the “Add to Google Pay” button, follow the instructions and accept the terms and conditions.
  4. Google Pay is now ready for payments! If you want to manage the cards you have added to Google Pay, you will also need to download the Google Pay app from the Google Play store.

Through Nordea Wallet

Nordea Wallet is an app where you see all your Nordea cards and the purchases you have made using them.

  1. Go to the Google Play store to make sure you have the latest version of Nordea Wallet and open the app.
  2. On the app’s front page, select the card you want to add to Google Pay.
  3. Tap the “Add to Google Pay” button, follow the instructions and accept the terms and conditions.
  4. Google Pay is now ready for payments! If you want to manage the cards you have added to Google Pay, you will also need to download the Google Pay app from the Google Play store.

Through Google Pay

Google Pay is here. Now you can enjoy the simple way to pay in stores, in apps and online.

  1. Download the Google Pay app from Google Play and open the app.
  2. Tap “+ Payment method” on the Payment tab and enter the card details.
  3. Follow the instructions and accept the terms and conditions.
  4. Confirm registration in the Nordea Wallet app.
  5. Google Pay is now ready for payments!

In stores with your smartphone

You can use Google Pay wherever contactless payments are accepted.

  • With low value payments, you just need to wake up your phone and hold it near the payment terminal. Your purchases will be charged to your default payment card.
  • When making high value payments, unlock your device and hold it near the payment terminal. You won’t need to open any apps. Your purchases will be charged to your default payment card.

If you don’t want to use the default card, unlock your phone and open the Google Pay app. Select the card you want to pay with and hold your phone near the payment terminal. And that’s it.

Speed through checkout online

With Google Pay you can pay with a few taps or clicks in apps and online. Just follow the payment process – and that’s it. There’s no need to enter your payment info.
