Nordea Debit

Nordea Debit is accepted in 24 million sales and service outlets worldwide.
You can withdraw cash free of charge at Otto. ATMs in Finland. When abroad, you can withdraw cash at ATMs carrying the Visa logo. The withdrawal and the withdrawal fee are debited to your bank account.
You can go shopping on the Internet when you register your card for online use.
As a Check-in Customer you get the card without the monthly fee.

Nordea Debit features

Nordea Debit is an international chip card with which you can withdraw cash and pay for purchases in Finland and abroad at points of sale carrying the Visa symbol.
Nordea Debit contains a contactless payment feature with which you can pay for purchases that cost less than 50 euros by holding the card close to the payment terminal. You do not need to insert your card into the payment terminal or key in your PIN.
If you have Nordea's Netbank access codes, you can decide the PIN for your card.
With Nordea Debit you can pay for your online purchases safely once you have connected your card to the Verified by Visa online payment service.
Purchases and cash withdrawals made with the card are always debited to the bank account linked to the card. The Nordea Debit card does not include a charge card or credit facility.

Nordea Debit for a minor

You can apply for a Visa Debit card:

without your parents' (guardians') consent if you are 16 or older and receive earned income to a bank account you have opened
with your parents' (guardians') consent if you are 16–17 years old and study at a polytechnic, a university or another institute of higher education.

Applying for a card with a guardian

Bring at least one of your parents (guardians) with you when you go to a branch to order a card. You also need a power of attorney signed by your other parent.

When filling in the card application, your parents will choose whether the card is mailed to your home address or whether you can pick it up by yourself from a branch.
