Easy and secure banking

We have upgraded Nordea’s Netbank together with our customers and have put new ideas into practice. As we continue to improve the services daily, we welcome your development ideas, which you can give us under Feedback in Netbank.

  • You can now do all your banking in the new Netbank, but, for the time being, we will still redirect you to the old Netbank version in some sections.
  • We have redesigned the look and feel of our Netbank and improved navigation. You will see all your finances at a glance on the overview page and be able to bank with less clicks.
  • Please use either the code app or the code calculator to log in to the new Netbank.

Adoption

Introduction

Log in with your online banking codes and the code app or code calculator

Our Netbank is available online and you can access it at nordea.fi/netbank. We have made logging in to our new Netbank even more secure than before.

All you need is an internet connection, Nordea’s online banking codes and either the Nordea Codes app on your smartphone or the small and handy code calculator. Both solutions meet the latest security requirements.

When using the code app, you only have to remember your PIN. The app will calculate one-time codes and transmit them encrypted to the bank. The code calculator is lightweight, compact, and handy to carry, for example, in the card pocket of your wallet. Its use is also encrypted with a PIN.

See the instructions on how to get the online banking codes and the code app or the code calculator you need to log in.

Services

The new Netbank will give you access to the same services as the old one, with more on the way. However, we haven’t incorporated all of our services into the new Netbank yet, but you can access the old Netbank from the Overview page by clicking on Other services, or directly from the new Netbank’s login page.

Frequently used services

You will see both your personal and your company’s accounts in Netbank. You can change the view from your personal accounts to your corporate accounts by clicking your name in the top right corner of the page. This will display all the agreements to which you have access.

You can view your account statements by going to the Finances tab, then Accounts & transactions. Select an account from the list. Once the Transactions & details page is shown, you will find the link to the account statement under the dropdown menu containing the account name.

You can export your account transactions to Microsoft Excel, for example. The download button (“CSV”) is located beside the Print button on the Transactions & details page of the account you selected.

You can give your account a nickname by selecting the Finances tab, then Accounts & transactions. Select the account you want to rename, and on the Transactions & details page, click on Show account details. This will display the details of your account, where you can give it a nickname by clicking Edit next to its present name. Click Save to confirm the new name.

You can choose your default account, i.e. the account that will be automatically chosen for your payments, by going to the Finances tab, then Accounts & transactions. Select the account and click on Show account details. Look under Default account, and click Make default if the account isn’t already your default account. Your default account will be shown at the top of the list on the Overview page, and it will be used as the default account for payments and e-invoices.

You cannot customise the Accounts menu, as it shows all the accounts which you are authorised to use.

You can join an online meeting by clicking on Contact us at the bottom of the page. You can attach files to the messages you send to our advisers by clicking on Add attachment on the New message screen. You can sign agreements by going to the Help & Support tab, selecting Contact us and clicking on Open under Agreements and documents.

If you have any questions about your banking, you will get the fastest response from our advisers through the chat.

Your recipients list will not be transferred from the old Netbank to the new one, but it will be the same as the one you are using in Nordea Mobile.

We will automatically log you out of the new and old Netbank if you haven’t used either in 15 minutes.

Additional technical information

Netbank and browsers

Netbank is compatible with the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Firefox
  • Safari

Other browsers and Netbank should be quite compatible, too.
While using Netbank with development and beta versions, you may encounter problems unknown to us which is why we do not recommend their use.

Pop-up windows

To use some Netbank services, such as linking your card to an online account and accessing market information, you must allow the use of pop-up windows. Use the following procedure to enable pop-up windows in the browsers supported by Netbank:

Google Chrome

Settings > Advanced > Privacy and security > Site settings > Pop ups.

Microsoft Edge

Settings > Privacy and Security > Block pop ups.
If you want to enable pop-up windows only on specific sites, select Advanced > manage permissions.

Mozilla Firefox, the newest version

  1. On the toolbar, select Tools -> Settings
  2. Select the Content tab
  3. Disable "Block pop-up windows" while you are browsing the web

Safari

  1. Open the Safari menu and click on Preferences/Settings
  2. Click on the Security tab
  3. Disable the pop-up blocker at Web Content / Block pop-up windows
  4. Close the window

What is cache?

Browser programs use cache memory where the pages used during the connection are stored. Netbank pages can also be stored in the cache. If you are using a shared computer (at work or at a library, for example), clear the cache after using Netbank.

Netbank pages are encrypted using SSL encryption. You can change the browser settings so that the encrypted pages of Netbank are not stored in the browser's cache or in the hard drive.

You can clear the cache in the browser settings at Tools -> Internet options.
Clearing the cache will remove all other pages you have looked up as well.

Clear the cache every time you have used Netbank on a shared computer. If you are the only user of the PC, you do not need to clear the cache.
